I found that the handbook was a great tool for young people, with easy to read and useful information. I would encourage any young person leaving school or moving out of home to have this on hand as a quick “how to” guide to adulting!
We find the students read through the Streetsmart Handbook take in the information and feel free to ask questions that they find are relevant to their current situation in our well-being sessions
Our Health curriculum teachers find them a great resource for our Year 11 students. We find placing one into each of their hands at this pivotal time in their lives is extremely beneficial as they are filled with relevant information and we believe the students engage with them really positively.

The NSW Streetsmart Handboook is a great resource with handy, useful and relevant information for senior students. It has complemented our student well-being program and the sessions we run in collaboration with U Turn the Wheel and Paul Dillon’s Drugs and Alcohol Talks. A very valuable resource that can assist our students with their social awareness and development of skills they need to use through sometimes complex issues which will confront their lives.
